BOB BURNETT
Bob Burnett has over 30 years of design experience and is an early adopter, advocate and educator of high-performance sustainable design and construction techniques. He focuses on advancing design education and reducing the effect of poor housing on the environment and improving the health of our communities while also creating beautiful, liveable, loveable, light-filled spaces. Bob’s work regularly receives awards and he was awarded the Sustainability Superstar Award at the Sustainable Business Network Awards. He founded the Superhome Movement Charitable Trust in 2015 and co-founded the Quakestar rating system after the Canterbury earthquakes.
SHIZUKA YASUI
Shizuka Yasui was born in Japan. She graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from Nihon University in 1995 and became a Japan registered architect in 1998. She joined Bob Burnett Architecture in 2000 and has created many award winning eco-houses and hill houses often with a Japanese influence; incorporating optimized space planning for flow and function efficiency. Shizuka is an ADNZ professional member, Homestar practitioner and advocate of Universal Design (Accessibility).
JASMIN McNELLY
Jasmin McNelly has been working in the Architectural industry since 2010 after completing a Bachelor of Architectural Studies. She has worked on a wide range of residential, commercial, and interior projects over this time. Since joining Bob Burnett Architecture, she has developed a passion for high-performance, climate positive, sustainably responsible architecture and continues to strive for rational, functional, client specific designs that promote a better living environment.
FREDDIE PAYNTER
Freddie Paynter graduated with a Bachelor of Architectural Studies in 2014, and has since worked on a variety of projects in the industry ranging from retail to residential architecture. Freddie continued his studies further with a Master of Business from the University of Canterbury in 2021 where he excelled in Marketing. At Bob Burnett Architecture, Freddie enjoys applying his skills throughout all stages of the process to help create beautiful, sustainable and high-performance homes.
