Punakaiki Rocks Hotel

Stage 2 of a 52 room hotel complex inserted into the bush at Punakaiki. Care was taken to retain as many of the iconic Nikau Palms as possible. Developed design and Documentation for building consent tendering and construction were produced within a tight timeframe. Punakaiki is a spectacular part of the West Coast of New Zealands South Island, best known for the Pancake Rocks and blowholes. A place of luxuriant coastal forest, fantastic limestone cliffs and canyons, mysterious caves, pristine rivers, and an absolutely spectacular coastline.
